Description
Role
Demonstrators will undertake teaching support and administrative duties in relation to identified areas of Geography and foundation year teaching delivery to support the highest quality service to students.
Duties and responsibilities
Supporting the learning of undergraduate and foundation year students in face to face delivery of practical classes.
FS0064 Digital World (4 roles, up to 12 hours each). Module convenor is Kirsten Barrett.
FS0033 Introductory Data Analysis (1 role for up to 10 hours). Module convenor is Stewart Fishwick.
GY1412 Environment Nature and Society (1 role for up to 19 hours). Module convenor is Margaret Byron
GY1421 Working with Geographic Information (2 roles, 20 hours each). Module convenor: Kirsten Barrett
GY2421 Geographical Information Science (2 roles to cover practicals and surgeries, 20 hours each). Need ArcMap skills. Module convenor: Claire Jarvis
GY2436 Introduction to Past Global Climate Changes (1 role, 1 x 3 hour computer practical). Module convenor: Andy Carr
GY7413 Information Visualisation (each role, 20 hours each). Module convenor: Stef de Sabbata
Skills and experience
To be considered for this role, you must have successfully completed at least the first year of the degree in which demonstrator support is being provided, or hold an equivalent level of knowledge. You will bring practical experience of applying relevant skills and techniques, along with strong analytical and communication abilities.
