Role
This post is an exciting opportunity to be part of the North London scheme within the National Institute for Health Research programme for Inspiring Students into Research (INSIGHT). The Co-ordinator will be the point of contact for all student applications to the INSIGHT programme, including Masters studentships and research internships.
Duties and responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
• Co-ordinate the planning, organisation, and publicity for all engagement activities across the partners, including working with our partners to organise dates and speakers, organising internship mentors/ hosts and managing applications to the cross-partner internship scheme.
• Identify, collate and maintain details of students affiliated to the organisation
• Be the main point of contact for all studentship-related queries
• Advise applicants on eligibility criteria and application procedures.
• To organise events and networking opportunities to promote the scheme
Skills and experience
1. Educated to degree level in a relevant field or equivalent experience
2. Administrative experience, ideally gained in a University or the NHS
3. Understanding of health and social care professions e.g. through work or volunteering in the NHS or other organisations
4. Experience of organising events, conferences, symposia or other similar activities
