Unitemps are acting as an Employment Business, supplying temporary workers, in relation to this vacancy.

Canect are a Nottinghamshire based manufacturer of pressurised canister spray adhesive. Canect are proud to produce only the highest quality adhesives by sourcing the best resins from around the world

Canect are looking for someone to set up working lab for nanotech manufacturing.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be expected to do some or all of the following tasks

  • analyse experimental data
  • design instruments that can work at tiny scales
  • simulate nanotechnology applications using computer modelling
  • develop ways to manipulate materials and create new systems and devices
  • write up and present research findings and publish articles
  • work closely with industry to scale up commercial production.
  • Familiarity with lasers, three D printing and general work with nano technology.

Skills and experience

Basic to advanced familiarisation of Nanotechnology in the following areas

Technical and Scientific:

  • Strong scientific and technical knowledge 
  • Proficiency with computer-controlled equipment 
  • Advanced mathematical and numerical skills 
  • Knowledge of engineering, physics, and IT systems 

Analytical and Problem-Solving:

  • Logical approach to complex issues 

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Written and oral communication skills for reports, papers, and presentations

Start Date: 01/11/25

Length of Assignment: 2-3 Months

Shifts and Times: 25 hours max per week with flexibility

Pay Rate: £13.50

Holiday Rate: £1.63

Working location: Nottingham

Dress Code: Casual
