Role
Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for premium food and gift products? Our client are looking to grow their sales team of Territory Business Manager’s. This is a home-based role with opportunities across the Midlands and the Southeast.

 
As a Territory Business Manager, you will be responsible for working in the independent sector of the Food/Gift market. You will manage an established portfolio of Accounts covering Garden Centre’s, Farm Shops, Department Stores, Tourist destinations and specialist food retailers, as well as actively prospecting for and winning New Business.  Their product range is growing, selling not just their own brands, The Bottle Shop and Treat Co but also an extensive range of wholesale products. To ensure that you will quickly be up and running and successful, there will be an extensive induction across all areas of the role.
 
Working days and hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Due to the nature of this role, you must have a full driving license and car with business insurance. 
 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Sales Revenue & Margin Ownership: Take full accountability for delivering monthly and annual revenue and margin targets for your territory with targets against each of our ranges.
  • Strategic Execution: Implement agreed strategic priorities across your account portfolio.
  • Territory Planning & Organisation: Manage your diary effectively to ensure optimal time with customers and prospects. Plan proactively to service your customer base efficiently and drive results.
  • New Business Development: Identify, prospect, and secure profitable new business opportunities through a structured contact strategy and compelling sales stories.
  • Commercial Acumen: Manage pricing and promotional activity responsibly to drive profitable volume growth for both Cottage Delight and our customers. Use data and reports to monitor performance and identify opportunities.
  • In-Store Execution: Working with your customers to implement best-in-class merchandising and displays across your accounts.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Proactively and professionally working with your customer in all communications, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust.
  • Brand Representation: Act as a proud ambassador, representing our brands and product ranges with professionalism and passion.

Skills and experience

  • Plan and manage time efficiently and effectively across a diverse territory
  • Deliver compelling presentations and solve problems creatively to support your customers
  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally
  • Proven success in Food/Gift Sales
  • Experience in the Independent market either in retail or managing accounts
  • Familiarity with premium branded products and their positioning in the market
