Description

Role

The purpose of the role is to provide co-ordination for the Postgraduate Taught Programmes (PG Cert/PG Dip/MSc) within School of Medicine.

 

Start Date: 10th November 2025

End Date: 31st December 2025

Working Hours: 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: £15.78 per hour

Holiday Pay Rate: £1.90 per hour

Location: UoN School of Medicine

Dress Code: Smart Casual

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and delivery of PGT programmes, ensuring the smooth running of teaching, assessments, and student support activities.
  • Maintain accurate student and course records.
  • Act as a point of contact for students and staff regarding programme-related queries, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Support PGT and wider School activities as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to Module Convenors and Course Directors, including managing booking, purchasing and teaching materials.
  • Provide cover for team members duties during periods of leave or high demand.

Skills and experience

  • High level of IT skills, including MS Word, Excel and Access and ability to integrate different packages.  
  • Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of individuals. 
  • Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to detail, and to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality. 
  • Ability to support meetings and undertake diary management.  
  • Flexible team player.
