About the role:
This is a 12 week paid internship opportunity with Dacecrown Ltd., as part of the WMG Internship Programme and Made Smarter Collaboration. This internship will contribute to the implementation of a newly bought MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) system, “STATII”, to aid in the company’s digitalisation of the order fulfilment process.
The internship is based at a company site in Birmingham, and hybrid options will also be considered and you will be working closely with the Dacecrown team, gaining first-hand experience. As part of the Programme, you will also benefit from weekly supervision and support by WMG experts throughout the duration of the project.
This internship will benefit/improve your skills in:
- MRP Implementation in a manufacturing SME
- Data migration from legacy systems to new digital tools
- Understanding and mapping high-level business processes
- Ability to work with key stakeholders, Directors and operators

Duties and responsibilities
You will lead this project, which will focus on implementing the newly bought MRP system “STATII” in the company based on business requirements. Main activities will include:
Support the migration of client's data from the legacy system (Sage) to the newly bought ERP software – Statii
Identify and resolve gaps or inconsistencies in data to ensure quality and accuracy.
Set up the new ERP system to work in alignment with the business process
Attaching Product drawings to the relevant products in the new ERP
Support end-users in testing ERP functionalities to confirm relevance and usability.
Work along with the cybersecurity team to support the implementation of internal cybersecurity policies and capabilities
Generate reports from the ERP for stakeholders to take data-driven decisions
Document processes and findings to contribute to internal knowledge sharing
Provide feedback to the project team on areas for improvement
Skills and experience
ESSENTIAL:
- Student or graduate in Engineering/Business Management or a similar field, or equivalent
- Basic knowledge in Data migration tools/process (e.g Excel, CSV, XML etc)
- Demonstrable Interest in business process, MRP/ERP systems
- Able to effectively communicate with staff at all levels
- Ability to learn effectively without constant supervision or direct instruction
DESIRABLE
- Experience in data migration, data cleansing & validation
- Experience of working in manufacturing/business environments, especially in ERP/MRP systems
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity policies (data privacy/protection)
