Description

Role
At KMMS we are currently planning our Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) for our medical students.  MMIs are a unique part of the medical admissions process and involve candidates having to go through a series of ‘stations’ with various skills they need to demonstrate. One part of the interview involves a role-play scenario for which we will require an actor.

Duties and responsibilities
The actors will be asked to improvise a given scenario with a candidate for 7 minutes with a 3-minute break before the next candidate. There are 5 sessions throughout the day, each one lasting around 1 hour and 20 mins, where you will interact with up to 8 candidates per session. Between sessions you will have a 15-minute break, with a longer break for lunch. As these will be long sessions, actors will be paired up during the sessions, so you will have the opportunity to swap with each other when needed.

Skills and experience
Acting experience required, improvisation experience preferred

  • Experience in a fast pace acting environment
  • Able to use the skills of improvisation
  • Able to use and develop improvisation
  • Able to maintain similar energy levels and performance for considerable periods of time
  • Acting experience required

Location
University of Kent, Canterbury
