Role

We’re looking for a creative and motivated Student Social Media Ambassador to manage and grow the SPGA Instagram channel for our student community. This role is a great opportunity for a student who’s passionate about social media, content creation, and connecting with others. As an ambassador, you’ll create engaging content, manage the account, and help promote it to increase awareness and strengthen the sense of community among SPGA students.

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop engaging posts, stories, and reels showcasing student events, opportunities, and community highlights.

• Regularly update and monitor the Instagram channel, ensuring a consistent and professional online presence.

• Actively promote the channel to students, societies, and staff to grow followers and encourage interaction.

• Work with student societies, the ADSE, and the Senior Employability Officer to feature relevant content.

• Capture and share live content from key events, including student society activities and SPGA-led initiatives.

• Stay up to date with social media trends to maximize reach and engagement.

There will be a two week handover with person currently in the role.

Skills and experience

• Must be a current SPGA student.

• Strong understanding of Instagram and social media best practices.

• Creative mindset with good photography, video editing, and writing skills.

• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.

• Interest in student engagement and community building.

• Prior experience in social media management or content creation is a plus but not required.
