Description
Role
Developing a new research project in collaboration with NUS-Singapore and contributing to experimental data generation.
Duties and responsibilities
Research
- Generate new experimental data and establish protocols
- Perform experimental work and data analysis
- Record and protocol results, and present outcomes at internal lab meetings
Technical lab support
- Manage and maintain transgenic zebrafish lines
- Support lab members with non-scientific tasks such as stocking up of reagents/consumables, archiving samples, updating and maintaining health and safety documentation
Skills and experience
- Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree (BSc, MSc or similar)
- Strong understanding of laboratory research methodologies, proficiency in data collection and analysis
- Experience with imaging of fixed and live samples using advanced microscopy (widefield, confocal)
- Experience of working with zebrafish embryos (or other model organism) is desirable
- Strong communication skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively as part of an international team
- Ability to work safely and effectively unsupervised following health and safety regulations
- Diligent record keeping

WMS in the new interdisciplinary IBRB building
Additional information
Start date is flexible between 1/12/2025 - 31/1/2026. The duration of the contract is for 6 months.
