Role
Our client is seeking two creative and proactive Content Creators to support our communications by producing engaging social media video content. The rolefocuses on showcasing the vibrancy of Stoke-on-Trent City Centre through business spotlights,theatre reviews, coverage of BID activity, and key city centre events. The Content Creators will work independently to plan and produce content, which will then be shared with the our team for scheduling across official channels. A Business Improvement District (BID) is a business-led and business-funded body formed to improve a defined commercial area. BIDs empower businesses to decide and direct what we want for our area and ensure that they have a voice in issues affecting the area. BID levy money is ring-fenced for use only in the BID area. Activities that BIDs can deliver may focus on increasing footfall, improving staff retention, combating business crime or enhancing the look and feel of the trading area.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Content Planning: Identify and develop creative concepts for monthly social media videos in line with BID campaigns and priorities.
  • Content Creation: Film and edit engaging, mobile-first short-form video content using own phone/equipment.
  • Coverage: Capture and produce video content for:â—‹ Local business spotlights and features.â—‹ Theatre and cultural reviews.â—‹ City events and BID-led initiatives.
  • Delivery: Provide completed video content files to the BID team for approval and scheduling.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the BID to align with campaign goals, tone and brand guidelines

Skills and experience
Essential:

 
  • Access to a smartphone with high-quality video recording capabilities.
  • Confident video editing skills (mobile or desktop-based).
  • Creative eye for storytelling and engaging social media content.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Strong communication skills, comfortable approaching businesses and event organisers.
  • Reliability in meeting deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Stoke-on-Trent City Centre, its businesses, culture, and events.
  • Previous experience in creating content for social media platforms preferred (Instagram,TikTok, Facebook, etc.).
  • Interest in theatre, arts, and local community life.

Location
Hanley office, occasionally require in but mostly remote working when creating content
