Role
Leicester Kidney Lifestyle Team (LKLT) are looking for a bright and enthusiastic early researcher to join the team who will assist with contributing to the implementation and ongoing development of a digital health intervention within the Kidney Lifestyle Research Programme (KLRP). This role involves refining and testing features of an online education programme, gathering feedback from patients and healthcare professionals by conducting qualitative interviews and focus groups, and working closely with the research team to ensure the tool remains evidence-based, user-friendly, and aligned with clinical best practice.

 
The LKLT is a multidisciplinary group running a portfolio of clinical and laboratory studies investigating the biomedical, clinical and psychosocial effects of lifestyle interventions in patients with chronic kidney disease; our research explores the mechanisms underlying these effects, and develops and tests strategies for implementing interventions in clinical practice. Our team has nationwide and international collaborations and boasts exciting opportunities for disseminating work through international conferences and publications.  

Duties and responsibilities
Join our team and play a key role in advancing digital health innovation! You’ll contribute to the successful delivery of implementation projects through data collection, management, and analysis, supporting the development of our cutting-edge digital health intervention. Your role will also involve conducting qualitative interviews and focus groups with kidney patients and healthcare professionals across primary and secondary care settings. 

 
You’ll ensure all study documentation is managed in line with strict national and local research governance protocols, and help interpret and summarise findings for dissemination within the research group.

Skills and experience

You will have a background with a relevant health science degree and possess experience of conducting and the analysis of qualitative interviews. You will draw on your knowledge and/or experience of qualitative research and implementation science methodology

This qualitative and quantitative data methodologies, practical experience in health research and theoretical knowledge, and has an interest in implementation science, health psychology/behaviour research or other health related subject.
