Role
The job role is an opportunity to contribute to an important government-funded evaluation of the final year of the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme. Experience of Excel either through academic study or previous work experience. Must be able to use features like conditional formatting, basic syntax and sorting.

Duties and responsibilities
The appointed candidate would play a vital role in building and organising a database of programme participants which will form the basis of a telephone survey. As such, the appointed person will be required to use Excel to identify programme participants to form the sample. Excel skills such as ability to write basic syntax (including VLOOKUP), filter/sort and conditional formatting will be essential.

Skills and experience

  • Education: Working towards a post-graduate qualification is preferred but undergraduate will be consider on relevant experience. 
  • Excel proficiency: The candidate must be adept at using MS Excel, particularly basic and some intermediate function. These include writing simple formulas, performing VLOOKUPs, and using filter and sorting tools. Experience with conditional formatting is essential. 
  • General MS Office skills: In addition to Excel, the candidate should have a good working knowledge of other MS Office packages to handle general documentation and communication tasks.

Work can be done at home (if preferred) but it would be preferred that the candidate attends an initial meeting with the team in the CCRI office at FCH campus.
