Description

Role
Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) is a structured student-to-student support programme designed to enhance academic success and engagement. The role exists to facilitate collaborative learning by enabling trained students, PAL Leaders who have successfully completed specific modules to support their peers in navigating challenging content. Through regular study sessions, PAL fosters a sense of belonging, builds academic confidence, and promotes independent learning. PAL Leaders guide discussions, share effective study strategies, and create inclusive environments where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. The programme complements formal teaching and contributes to improved retention, progression, and attainment. PAL also benefits Leaders by strengthening their subject knowledge and developing transferable skills in communication, leadership, and facilitation. The role is not to re-teach content but to inspire and empower students to take ownership of their learning journey.

This role is open to Level 6 Biomedical Science students who have demonstrated strong academic performance. If you are passionate about helping others and feel confident in your subject knowledge, we encourage you to apply
