Role

Are you passionate about education and ready to make a real impact? We are recruiting for a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly regarded organisation, supporting primary and secondary schools across Hartlepool. You'll be helping students succeed in a meaningful and rewarding role.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Make a difference to the lives of young people.
  • Support primary or secondary aged children in preparation for their exams.
  • Provide tutoring in small group settings.
  • Earn £22 per hour*. This is the minimum we'll pay you to plan and deliver each hour of tuition.
  • Gain key teaching skills from our core tutor training programme (which is delivered online and takes 10-15 hours to complete).
  • Have access to ongoing learning and development opportunities to help boost your knowledge and professional skills.

Skills and experience

  • A minimum of three hours of availability per week, though your actual hours may vary based on school demand.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check, provided and paid for by The Tutor Trust.
  • No teaching experience is required but you should demonstrate a commitment to our mission, a love of your chosen subject, and a passion for helping others.
  • To be considered for this role, you must have achieved at least a Grade 6* or equivalent in either Maths, English, or Science.
