Role

We are looking for a technically skilled and creative Behind-the-Camera Operator to manage and produce high-quality TikTok Live sessions using OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). You will be responsible for running the live show from a production standpoint — setting up streams, managing transitions, live chat moderation tools, and ensuring seamless visual and audio output. This is a technical and creative role, ideal for someone who understands the fast pace of live commerce and social media engagement.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Set up, manage, and operate TikTok Live sessions using OBS Studio.
  • Work closely with on-camera talent to coordinate timing, script cues, and product call-outs.
  • Design and manage live overlays, transitions, graphics, and media assets in OBS.
  • Monitor and maintain audio/video quality throughout the live stream.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time to ensure uninterrupted streams.
  • Assist with lighting, camera setup, and sound check prior to going live.
  • Collaborate with social/content teams on weekly live show planning and visual themes.
  • Manage live interaction elements (e.g. polling, Q&As, comment moderation support)

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience using OBS Studio in a live-streaming environment.
  • Solid knowledge of camera and audio equipment setup.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok Live, its features, and audience expectations.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure live broadcast setting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot on the fly (stream drops, audio sync issues, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of TikTok trends, live shopping, and influencer culture.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with stream plugins, widgets, and custom OBS layouts.

Desirable (Not Required):

  • Experience with other live-stream platforms (e.g. Instagram Live, Twitch, YouTube Live)
  • Basic video editing or motion graphics (Adobe Premiere, After Effects)
  • Experience working with ecommerce or live selling formats.
  • Ability to adapt and work flexible hours depending on stream schedule.

Location
Hanley, Stoke on Trent

Benefits

  • Opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, creative team at the cutting edge of live content.
  • Creative input in how shows look and feel from a production perspective.
  • Access to professional equipment and software.
  • Potential to grow into broader video production or content roles
