Role
The Research Assistant will support the project “The Role of Cultural Institutions in the UK’s Higher Education Research Ecosystem”, which is funded by the Society for Research in Higher Education (SRHE)
Duties and responsibilities
As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth interviews, lasting between 45 and 60 minutes, with 10 participants from HEIs, including academics and research and innovation staff, as well as 10 participants from cultural institutions such as museums, libraries, archives, art galleries, theatres, concert halls, opera houses, music festivals, and literary organisations. The post-holder will also be required to perform the initial coding and analysis of all 30 interview transcripts to extract key insights.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will hold a relevant PhD in management and bring proven experience in conducting in-depth interviews. They will be confident in using appropriate software tools for qualitative data analysis and research documentation, with a strong track record of contributing to research projects. It would be an advantage if applicants also have experience in writing reports and producing academic publications.
