Role

The Heriot-Watt University Library are seeking 2 Customer Services Assistants to help cover the library reception desk at the Edinburgh campus library, the GRID Service desk and the Learning Commons Service desk. The Customer Service Assistants would work on an ad hoc basis to support the library team during particularly busy periods or to cover staff absences.

Shifts for this role can vary week by week, but we are particularly looking for people who are available to work evenings and weekends.

We are looking for people who can start working as soon as possible.

Duties and responsibilities

 
The post entails covering the library reception desk, answering queries, conducting headcounts, refilling photocopiers. Other duties include handing out study room keys and helping students with WIFI and printing.

Skills and experience

 
Strong customer service experience is essential for this role. Full training will be provided.
