Role

This role supports the our clients marketing and policy engagement activities. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and Policy Advisor, you will create engaging marketing collateral, support with the delivery of Daily Focus and assist with policy and stakeholder engagement activities such as our Forums and Meet the MP roundtable events. The role offers an opportunity for someone with an interest in writing, politics and communications to develop skills in marketing, policy and stakeholder engagement.

Duties and responsibilities

 
Marketing & Communications
 
  • Create engaging marketing content for Chamber campaigns, website, and newsletters.
  • Support with our Daily Focus project – Staffordshire’s biggest business news service.
  • Assist with managing social media channels, creating posts and tracking engagement.
  • Support video content production (shooting short clips at events, basic editing, uploading)

Policy & Stakeholder Support.

  • Support organisation of MP roundtables, forums, and policy-related events.
  • Assist with briefings, agendas and note-taking for policy meetings.
  • Draft content for policy newsletters, blogs, and member updates.
  • Liaise with members, stakeholders, and partners to gather stories, case studies and feedback

Skills and experience

  • Proficient in writing copy, with the ability to adapt tone for news, marketing, and policy audiences.
  • Interest in politics, business, and current affairs.
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience of creating content for social media, newsletters, or websites (personal or professional) is an advantage
