This post is to support the research bid to evaluate the well being of police officers within a police force. 

The successful candidate, who should be a dynamic and highly organised individual, will work closely with a team of academics within the Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies to act as research assistant to collect data and support the development of a report for an externally funded project with the NPCC.

The post holder will be expected to support all aspects of the project, including: confidentiality; ethical approval; the day-to-day administration of the project; the collection and interpretation of data, conducting literature reviews; and contributing to the analysis and presentation of results; including the production of interim and final reports.

Duties and responsibilities

DUTIES: 

• Support the development of the required evaluative tools and approach for the research programme and communicating and coordinating this across the research team.

• Undertake the scoping of the data/literature available as part of the evaluation with support from the principal investigator.

• Support the Project Lead in the organisation and conducting of interviews with various individuals.

• Coordinate and deliver focus groups with various stakeholders.

• Contribute to the analysis of research data as directed, liaise regularly with the principal investigator about study progress, writing progress reports as required.

• Co-ordinate and participate in project meetings.

• Input confidential collected research data and perform quantitative and qualitative analyses as part of the research project.

• Liaise with other researchers, both internal and external, and collaborate to execute project deliverables.

• Plan, prioritise and organise own workload and resources to meet agreed objectives and deadlines.

• Maintain high standards of academic and commercial confidentiality. Comply with relevant protocols regarding data confidentiality and security.

• Any other duties agreed by the research management team.

Minimum Requirements:

Degree or equivalent qualification 

Experience:

Experience in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to collate, critically appraise and present information.

Demonstrable good analytical skills, e.g. the ability to undertake quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Application, interview

Excellent Organisational Skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and track activities

Experience in the education or criminal justice sector, liaising with senior academic and professional staff.
