About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our AI/ML team. As an intern, you will work on building, testing, and deploying machine learning models that directly contribute to real-world healthcare applications. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of technology and healthcare.

Duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, developing, and training machine learning models using clinical or medical data.
  • Work with structured (tabular data) and unstructured data (medical text, images, voice).
  • Contribute to data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation pipelines.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to integrate ML models into the production system.
  • Conduct experiments, performance tuning, and testing to ensure model robustness.
  • Document your work and present findings to the team.

Skills and experience
Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in Python and machine learning libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Familiarity with data manipulation libraries such as Pandas, NumPy.
  • Understanding of basic ML/AI algorithms and concepts (classification, regression, NLP, etc.).
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of MLOps tools and model deployment practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Understanding of data privacy and compliance (e.g., GDPR).
