Role
Our client is seeking a passionate architect (junior or experienced) to join their team and develop expertise in PAS 2035:2019 social housing retrofits. You’ll work closely with retrofit coordinators and senior designers, contributing to large-scale projects that improve energy efficiency and tenant comfort. Gain hands-on experience in energy-efficient social housing retrofits, develop PAS 2035 expertise, and work on projects that make a tangible impact on communities.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support design delivery for social housing retrofit projects, under guidance or independently depending on experience.
- Learn and apply PAS 2035:2019 standards in design and retrofit planning.
- Collaborate with coordinators, contractors, and clients to ensure practical, high-quality solutions.
- Contribute ideas for sustainable, energy-efficient improvements.
- Assist in preparing design documentation and reports for client approval.
Skills and experience
- Degree in Architecture or related field; junior architects welcome.
- Interest in retrofit, energy efficiency, and sustainable design
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
- Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).Willingness to learn PAS 2035 standards and retrofit processes.
- Knowledge of social housing projects or public sector work is a plus, but not essential.
- Knowledge of social housing funding schemes (ECO, LAD, SHDF) is a plus.
