Role

The role below is only for current Middlesex University students

We’re building a team of Social Media Ambassadors to showcase student life at Middlesex University on TikTok, Instagram and other social media channels. 

This isn’t just about content creation – we're looking for a mix of students to join our team of social stars. You could be great at phone photography, filming and editing or perhaps you prefer to just star in our content. We want to hear your strengths!  

Duties and responsibilities

  • Create or feature in TikTok, Instagram (feed and stories) and YouTube Shorts content 
  • Share the student experience authentically through photography, videography, and storytelling 
  • Cover campus events, societies, and key moments in the student calendar 
  • Pitch and develop fun, engaging ideas that resonate with Middlesex students 
  • Keep up to date with social media trends and student culture 
  • Post approved content on your personal channels - with amplification from the official Middlesex University accounts (optional) 

Skills and experience

We’re building a diverse team with a mix of strengths. You don’t need to be good at everything - just let us know what you enjoy most! 

We want students who are: 

  • Confident on camera  
  • Good at photography on phones and/or cameras 
  • Comfortable filming/editing content on a phone (CapCut/Instagram/TikTok editing tools) 
  • Be up to date on social trends and clued up on what type of content succeeds on different channels 
  • Creative storytellers who understand (or want to learn) how social media works 
  • Reliable, proactive, and organised
