The intern will be part of our small, dynamic team at PNZ Advisory, which focuses on environmental sustainability and educating future environmental leaders. This role is designed to offer real-world experience in both research and project-based sustainability work, giving the intern the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our thought leadership and client delivery.

Our team is based in Warrington, and the role offers the flexibility to work remotely and on-site. Given the rapid developments in sustainability, the chosen intern will play an important role in shaping our narrative on the most current sustainability issues of 2025 while supporting live client projects.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities
The Sustainability Project & Research Intern will: 

 
  • Conduct in-depth research on emerging sustainability topics. 
  • Collate information from a variety of sources including academic papers, industry reports, and expert opinions. 
  • Synthesize this research into blog posts or articles that will serve as key thought leadership pieces for our website.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure content aligns with the company’s mission and core values. 
  • Have the opportunity to contribute to brainstorming and strategy sessions, giving input on topics to research and ways to engage our audience. - Shadow and participate with live client projects.- Support the design, planning, and delivery of sustainability projects for clients (e.g., data collection, baseline analysis, reporting).
  • Contribute to internal projects, such as refining methodologies, improving templates, or updating knowledge libraries.

Skills and experience
We are seeking an individual who: -

 
  • Is currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Sustainability, Communications, or similar). -
  • Has strong research skills, with the ability to gather, assess, and consolidate complex information.
  • Possesses excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging content. 
  • Is self-motivated and can work independently to produce high-quality work. 
  • Has a passion for sustainability and staying up-to-date on current environmental issues.
  • Is able to manage their time effectively to meet deadlines, especially when balancing this role with their academic commitments.
