UoNSU is a registered charity at the heart of student life on campus, supporting students with their student voice, their academic endeavours and their extra curriculum activities.

The Student Group Coordinator – Membership Services provides administrative and logistical services to student groups to run successfully, equipping student leaders with skills and knowledge to lead their communities and provide members with diverse opportunities to participate in.

The role will deliver a range of administrative processes to support student groups to function and empower student leaders via learning interventions, membership development needs and recognition opportunities

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the delivery of high-quality services and processes for student groups’ compliance and committee support covering all processes of: groups and committee set up, governance, events and trips, finances, and elections.
  • Administer the processes required to empower student group management via communication functions, centralised processes and membership web platforms.
  • Provide adhoc support at the Welcome Hub receptions.
  • Coordinate the coaches and instructors process to allow our groups to develop their activity to ensure their classes are available to all and promote an open inclusive opportunity.
  • Support the leadership and development programme for student groups to facilitate leadership development and community building, delivering online/offline training to student leaders for the membership web platform.

Skills and experience

  • Effective consultation and negotiation skills to achieve a desired outcome.
  • Experience of supporting and coaching others
  • Ability to design and deliver effective training.
  • Ability to use effective interpersonal skills to forge and maintain effective working relationships internally
  • and externally.
  • Experience of working in an administrative function or customer service role
  • Experience using Client relation management systems.
  • Ability to write effective content for communications with customers.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
  • Experience of presenting information to a range of audiences with differing levels of knowledge
  • Ability to work as an effective team member.
  • Competent IT user (incl. MS Office, PowerPoint)

Start Date: 22/09/25

Length of Assignment: 16 Weeks

Shifts and Times: 5 days, 35 hours

Pay Rate: £12.21

Holiday Rate: £1.47

Working location: Nottingham

Dress Code: Casual
