As a Youth Engagement Intern, you’ll be at the heart of this mission, working closely with experienced youth workers to plan and deliver exciting, meaningful activities at after school youth projects. You’ll play an essential role in creating a welcoming environment, building positive relationships with young people, and developing innovative resources to support their mental health and wellbeing. Duties and responsibilities
Purpose of the role:
The Youth Engagement Intern will support the planning and delivery of engaging, structured activities across VIBE youth services, helping to create a safe and inclusive environment where young people feel supported, valued, and empowered. This role focuses on building positive relationships with vulnerable young people, encouraging personal growth, and contributing to their mental health and wellbeing.
b. Support sessions that focus on developing emotional resilience, social skills, and confidence among young people.
2. Building Positive Relationships with Young People
a. Actively engage with young people during sessions, offering support, encouragement, and a listening ear.
Skills and experience
Essential Skills:
1. Ability to build rapport and engage effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds.
