The Business Operations Officer internship is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day running of a dynamic consultancy. You’ll work closely with our leadership and project teams to support client projects, develop internal processes, coordinate marketing and business development activities, and contribute to service delivery. This role will give you exposure to multiple aspects of business operations—combining administrative, analytical, and creative tasks—while developing skills that are highly transferable across sectors. You’ll be part of a small but ambitious team where your ideas are valued, and you’ll see first-hand the real impact of your work on our clients’ success.

Duties and responsibilities
The Business Operations Officer will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of JGP Consultancy Services’ operations.The role will provide hands-on experience in business administration, project coordination, and client service delivery. Workingacross different areas of the business—including bid writing, training delivery, and consultancy—you will help improveprocesses, manage information, support marketing efforts, and contribute to the achievement of client and company goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual to gain practical experience within a fast-paced consultancy environment, working closely with senior team members and contributing to projects that have a real impact on our clients’ success.

Skills and experience
Responsibilities:

1. Business Administration & Operations:
Assist in managing daily operational tasks to ensure smooth running of the business. Maintain accurate records and update company systems, including CRM databases. Support the creation and management of internal process documents and resources. Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and recording actions.2. Project & Client Support :Provide administrative and research support to bid writing and consultancy projects. Help coordinate training sessions and workshops, including materials preparation. Track project timelines and deliverables, flagging any risks or delays to the team.

3. Marketing & Business Development Support:Support the preparation of marketing content for email campaigns and social media. Assist in identifying potential business opportunities through market research. Help maintain a database of leads, prospects, and clients for follow-up activity.

4. Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement:Collect and organise data for business performance reports. Assist with monitoring KPIs and identifying areas for operational improvement. Support initiatives to improve efficiency and client satisfaction. 

5. General:Contribute ideas and solutions to enhance business processes. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the management team.
