Description

Role

Please note this job is a temporary role in the first instance for 6 months.

Interprofessional Education is ‘occasions when two or more professions learn with, from and about each other to improve collaboration and the quality of care and services’ (CAIPE, 2016). The Faculty of Health, Sport and Behavioural Sciences’ (FHSBS) IPE Strategy aims to provide innovative and multidimensional learning opportunities through a scaffolded ‘collaborative curriculum’ where students will develop their knowledge, attitudes, skills and behaviours by engaging in authentic interprofessional learning activities such as workshops, groupwork and online activities.  The 12 health and social care programmes within the IPE ‘collaborative curriculum’ have a common learning outcome at each academic level to ensure IPE is assessed in theory as well as in practice.  IPE aims to link theory to practice, ensuring students become practitioners who can develop effective interprofessional relationships to deliver high quality care through collaborative practice. Student IPE Champions will work collaboratively with the IPE Lead within and across courses in FHSBS as IPE advocates – promoting and co-delivering elements of the Faculty IPE ‘collaborative curriculum’. This role is ideal for a motivated undergraduate student passionate about collaborative learning, healthcare education, and enhancing student engagement across professions.
