Role

To assist the food and beverage management team in providing a courteous and efficient service of food and beverages to all our guests.

We are looking for part time food and beverage operatives to join our Bars team – Experience is not essential as we know that excellent customer service skills can’t always be taught. 

We are a 7 day a week, 24 hours a day operation covering a wide style of drinks service. From the conference bars at Scarman and Radcliffe, gala dinners at The Slate to graduation and student led events over Rootes and across campus. 

We’re looking for team members that possess the tools and behaviours to deliver service above the expectations of our guests. At Warwick Conferences it isn’t just about delivering a service, it’s about delivering an unforgettable experience.

Training for all aspects of the role and the companies policies and procedures will be provided.

Duties and responsibilities
Operational: 

  • Serving food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to customers.
  • Providing the highest level of customer service to all guests.
  • Delivering food & beverages to meeting rooms, bedrooms and on and off campus.
  • Moving of furniture to facilitate bookings/service.
  • Ensure that all key policies are adhered to, in particular Health and Safety in relation to Food Safety and allergens.
  • Receive and check all bar deliveries from suppliers to ensure bar is fully stocked as necessary. Health & Safety/Compliance.
  • Maintain cleanliness/hygiene all bar, restaurant and lounge areas, ensuring that regulations. regarding health and safety, fire and food hygiene & allergens are observed and adhered to.
  • Ensure all applicable aspects of licensing regulations are adhered to. 
  • To undertake any other duties as from time to time maybe required commensurate with the grade of the post.

Skills and experience
Experience desirable, essential qualities excellent level of customer care and communication; flexible, able to work as part of a team; trustworthy; good level of numeracy; available to carry out late shifts on a rota basis; including weekend work; experience of working in a bar & food environment; knowledge of food hygiene regulations; professional image.
