Description
Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practical Support Worker and Notetakers to join our team of non medical helpers.
The ideal candidates will play a vital role in providing assistance to individuals in an educational setting, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect. This position requires strong communication skills, a basic understanding of IT, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. This is an ongoing role for the academic year.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist students with educational requirements, such as study plans, support with assessments and ensuring attendance with lectures and seminars.
- Will need a support worker who is able to follow direction
- Develop individual's needs.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and other professionals to ensure a high standard of support is offered.
- Document student progress and pass on any concerns to the relevant person(s).
- Provide emotional support to enhance the well-being of students.
- Provide notetaking services during classses and lectures with action points where required
Skills and experience
- Previous experience in similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong verbal communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with students and other team members.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes are desirable.
- A compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
- Ideally from an Architectural study
