Role

With the student experience at its core, Academic Registry provides a flexible student focused administration service supporting core academic activities of the student lifecycle and the operation of the Academic Schools. The Academic Registry works in partnership with academic and administrative colleagues throughout the University to provide a professional, high quality, and customer-focused service in support of the University’s academic mission and strategic priorities. The Department is the central focus for academic administration in the University, which includes responsibility for the management, coordination, and delivery of a range of services and activities within the student life cycle, and the associated data management.

Duties and responsibilities
We are seeking temporary administrative support to assist the Records and Course Administration team during a busy period. The role will primarily focus on processing and managing student data, including:

Entering information into the Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle)
Validating records within the student database
Carrying out mandatory identity checks
Reviewing and resolving exception reports

Skills and experience
This is a detail-oriented position requiring accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to work with sensitive information in line with established procedures.  

Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling data.
Experience or quick to learn, working with databases, spreadsheets, or other data management systems
Ability to follow established procedures and compliance requirements (e.g. identity verification)
Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and web-based platforms
Ability to manage repetitive tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy
Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads during peak periods
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

The postholder should not be a current undergraduate student and preference is given to PGR students or alumni due to access to student data.
