Role
The Recruitment Co-Ordinator will be trained in the Unitemps recruitment process. You will have responsibility for supporting the Senior Recruitment Consultant (SRC) and Branch Manager on internal recruitment campaigns. In addition, you will provide administration support to the branch, and have a high level of contact with students and staff and will be responsible for promoting the Unitemps service around the University. This is a 3 months temporary role working Monday - Friday - 35 hours per week. There maybe an opportunity to apply for the permanent position (Should this become available)
Duties and responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
- Administration activities to support the Branch Manager and SRC
- Scan and input passports, Home Office checks and other data onto the Unitemps recruitment system ADAPT.
- Update recruitment database and issue P45’s as and when requested.
- Provide Administration Support to the Branch Manager & SRC
- Respond to and manage emails from the Unitemps mailbox.
Compliance:
- Carry out right to work checks (home office/passport) for Unitemps’ workers and managing ongoing checks in accordance with University/Home Office requirements.
- Make decisions in regard to candidates’ working status & Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk
- Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Visa Compliance, HR, Payroll, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution
- Processing ECS checks
Vacancy and Candidate Management:
- Follow recruitment process and set up bookings for temporary workers
- Advertise roles on the ADAPT/RecruitAgent recruitment system
- Manage and update the internal jobs spreadsheet as necessary
- Support the Branch Manager /SRC to ensure the prompt and efficient management of the recruitment cycle including advertising of vacancies and administration of placed candidates.
- Advising hiring managers on the Unitemps recruitment process
Customer and Unitemps Front Desk Support:
- Support the day to day running of the Unitemps in-person office.
- Meet & register students and users that come to the Unitemps office.
- Deal with phone, e-mail and face-to-face enquiries from all users of Unitemps including employers, academic staff etc. regarding the temporary recruitment processes to provide solutions
- Work with students to highlight relevant sources of information on the Unitemps and Careers, Employability and Outreach websites whether in person, by phone or through e-guidance.
Skills and experience
Qualifications & Knowledge:
- Educated to degree level with GCSE passes grades A-C in English and Maths or equivalent O-Levels.
- Understanding of the HE sector, and in particular the pressures faced by students to earn money to support their studies.
- Knowledge and understanding of recruitment and employment legislations.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis techniques and management of data.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with people at different levels, managing expectations.
- Planning, organising and having the ability to follow processes.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to take the initiative and make decisions quickly and accurately.
- Excellent administrative skills with the ability to multi-task within a busy environment.
- Good IT skills and computer literacy.
Experience:
- Experience of an administrative role where good attention to detail is important.
- Working in a very fast paced environment, dealing with enquiries in person, by phone and by email within excellent customer service parameters.
- Experience of using technology to present data in different formats.
- Experience or background in Careers Service/Recruitment would be particularly useful.
Location
4 days in-person at City St Georges, University of London and 1 day from home

Start Date: 15/09/2025
End date: 14/12/2025 (Please note we will also be recruiting for a permanent role. Therefore there is a possibility that this role may become permanent)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Location: For the first two weeks of this role you will be require to be on campus Monday to Friday. Thereafter you will be required to work on campus four days a week at City St Georges, University of London and one day from home
