Role
Our prestigious client, based in Stone are looking for a Practice Manager to be a key member of the management team within a large and busy practice.
The post is for 37 hours per week. These hours would be worked across 5 days of the week with start and finish times to be negotiated
The Practice is committed to providing a high quality of service to patients through teamwork. They are fully computerised using the EMIS Web medical system, Docman and AccuRX.
They are looking for someone who has experience with computerised systems and ideally within General Practice. Attention to detail and computer literacy are key qualities for this role.
Job Summary:Supporting the partners to ensure all the QOF IIF and any other targets are being met using the Ardens and bespoke searches to monitor progress. Interrogating EMIS data to ensure the templates are being completed correctly to maximise income. Support the Practice Manager in ensuring the practice is running efficiently and effectively. Taking responsibility for all IT systems and ensuring staff are able to use all the practice systems effectively. Being innovative in looking at ways of using technology developments to improve practice efficiency and effectiveness.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support Practice, Management & Clinical Meetings, take minutes during meetings
- Run and devise searches on request of partners
- Monitor and keep track of all practice targets (QOF, IIF, QIF etc) raising issues where necessary
- Ensure communication systems are running smoothly, and doctors and reception staff are kept fully informed of changes in procedures
- Assist with production and upkeep of practice policies and procedures
- Support the management team in ensuring CQC compliance
- During annual leave or sickness support the functions of the practice manager as required. This could include making payments, supporting staff and clinicans.
- Health and safety awareness and understanding
- Ensure the practice IT systems are kept up to date and implement necessary changes
- Keep up to date with new developments to implement which could benefit the practice
- Maintain a log of all practice IT equipment
- Deal with IT problems
- Train staff in use of systems
- Set up new staff on all systems
- Review of patient records to ensure the data is correct and up to date
- Review of Ardens searches and ensure they are providing the correct information
- Support the Care Coordinator to run searches and recall of patients in long term conditions clinics
- Monitor of all practice targets and submit claims and declare achievements
Skills and experience
- Experience with computerised systems and ideally within General Practice.
- Attention to detail and computer literacy
- Organisational skills
- Working well under pressure
