Role
As advocates for the School, ULSB Student Ambassadors play a key role in our on-campus and online student recruitment events, helping potential students to discover the reasons why to study their subject at Leicester and to create a welcoming, friendly environment.

Start date: 

The first two shifts are as follows: 

Saturday 13 September, 8.30am – 4.30pm 

Saturday 4 October, 8.30am – 4.30pm

Hours and days: 

Multiple shifts available throughout the academic year, including ad hock events.  The main recruitment events are: 

Open Days: 8.30am – 4.30pm (all Saturday dates) 

Offer Holder Days: 8:30am – 2.00pm 

Open Evenings/offer holder evenings: 4.00pm – 7.00pm (TBC)

Duties and responsibilities
Working alongside School of Business academics and professional services at Open Days and Offer Holder Days you’ll:

  • Support subject talks, sharing your own experiences of your course at Leicester and helping answer questions 
  • Take part in Q&A sessions
  • Support subject information stands talking passionately about your subject of study
  • Give tours of the Brookfield campus
  • Be part of School of Business social media posts
  • You may also be invited to support Careers talks with delivering your own presentation on your Year in Industry experience/careers journey (if applicable)
  • Other roles and responsibilities to ensure the days run smoothly
There will also be opportunities take part in subject taster days, school and outreach events and other ad hoc recruitment events.
 
Other Events and Activities
As a ULSB Student Ambassador you’ll also have the opportunity to support a number of other events and activities throughout the academic year including corporate ULSB events, ad hoc Brookfield campus tours, student engagement related activities, and providing us with the student voice.

Skills and experience

  • Must be an Undergraduate ULSB student
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a range of people
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and use own initiative where appropriate
  • Friendly and welcoming
