Role
Surrey Sports Park are recruiting Student Events Staff.

 
Surrey Sports Park hosts a wide range of exciting events – from sporting fixtures and festivals to business conferences, corporate sports days, and international team training camps. We’re looking for enthusiastic student staff to help bring these events to life!
 

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the sports, events, and commercial sectors, while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

£10-£12.21 per hour depending on age.

Temporary role ideal for students.

Starting in September 2025, this role is ongoing. 

Flexible shifts – evenings, weekends, and event days.

 

Duties and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with event setup and de-rig (equipment, branding, staging, etc.)
  • Support various roles across different types of events
  • Work collaboratively with venue and event teams
  • Maintain safety, professionalism, and adaptability throughout
There will be heavy lifting of the basketball show floor. Each roll is 100kg, there will be equipment to manoeuvre this and full manual handling training will be received. Staging will also be set up and approximate weight is 25kg each.

Skills and experience

What We’re Looking For:

  • Self-motivated individuals who thrive under pressure
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness (manual handling required)
  • Ability to pivot between roles depending on event needs
  • Interest in sports is a bonus, but not essential
  • Full training provided – no prior experience needed
