Role
The role of The Student Support Assistant is to work alongside Student Support colleagues, specifically those in Disability Inclusion Support and the Triage & Operations team to provide effective administrative support. The role will include several administrative tasks such as taking first point of contact phone calls relating to disability and wellbeing, referring on where necessary as well as processing emails and forms relating to student’s disability support and some face to face work with customers
Duties and responsibilities
â–ª To offer a helpful, friendly, and efficient service to customers and colleagues. Managing first point of contact with customers through phone and email.
â–ª To comply with GDPR and service protocol for the recording, sharing and storage of sensitive data. Role Specific
â–ªTo provide administrative support to the Disability Inclusion Service and Student Support more widely.
â–ª To manage the processing and input of information on to Banner and Maximizer CRM to ensure the department meets its obligations relating to processing of students with disability disclosures.
â–ª To process forms and carry out regular administrative tasks in relation to students accessing the Disability Inclusion Service
â–ª To manage an administration caseload and ensure that key deadlines are met
- A minimum of five GCSEs including a numeracy qualification at level 3 or equivalent relevant professional experience
- The ability to provide excellent customer service by phone and email.
- The ability to work effectively towards tight deadlines.
- The ability to work effectively within a team.
- The ability to work accurately with student information and data and in producing accurate reports
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
