Role

With a rich history spanning over 125 years, City St George’s Students’ Union’ is the primary organisation representing every City St George’s student. That makes the Students’ Union the representative body for over 27,000 members. With five Full-Time Student Officers, a team of permanent staff and the involvement of student volunteers, the Students’ Union is at the heart of activity on campus tasked with improving and delivering the best Student Experience. The Students’ Union delivers a range of services and support for its members, from independent academic advice to supporting our Programme Reps to enhance their course, to promoting the employability and development of students through our Communities Team. The Students’ Union also runs a bar and two shops which sell a range of products, including ethically sourced University branding clothing, merchandise, and stationery.

The students' Union is currently looking for a Sport Administrator.

Duties and responsibilities

- To deliver the administration of sports clubs to ensure the successful running of match days

- To support and provide development to students involved in sport.

- To administer the delivery of coaches and referees

- To provide general administration to enable the delivery of sports development.

Skills and experience

- Extensive experience working effectively using your own initiative autonomously

- Experience working with a University/Students’ Union Sports Department or similar environment

- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety

- IT literate with a good understanding of IT-based administrative control systems and an ability to develop and effectively manage administrative procedures

- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of different backgrounds and cultures

- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain excellent working relationships with students and stakeholders (coaches, referees, other Universities)

- Work proactivity to ensure a high level of service delivery is given at all times

PLEASE NOTE: This role not suitable for current student as the selected candidate will be expected to work 35 hours per week, including some evening and weekend work Ability to work regular weekend and evenings including open days and occasional activities at external venues.

Location
Predominantly based at the Tooting campus, Cranmer Rd, SW17 0QT, however training and some site based work will be at the Clerkenwell
