THE ROLE

Our client Registry Services is currently recruiting a Timetabling Assistant (data and customer care).

Expected start date: ASAP

Expected end date: 31/10/2025

Expected interview date: TBC

 

Rate of pay: £ 13.96

Holiday Pay: £ 2.18

 

This role is an Office-based role working the following hours:

Monday: 08:45 – 17:00

Tuesday: 08:45 – 17:15

Wednesday: 08:45 – 17:15

Thursday: 08:45 – 17:15

Friday: 08:45 – 17:0

Duties and responsibilities

An experienced and highly motivated individual, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Maintenance of timetable data on the University Timetable database, subject to the relevant approvals process.
  • First point of contact, responding to calls and emails.
  • Sign-post staff from across the University to help with all manner of Timetable and room booking related queries.
  • Taking and reporting on ad-hoc room bookings.
  • Data entry and validation of teaching and other timetabled activities.
  • You will also assist other areas of Registry Services as and when required with, for example, Graduation and Registration events

Skills and experience

  • The post-holder will be expected to quickly acquire knowledge and understanding of curriculum structures, timetabling and other DMU software packages, as well as already be proficient in Outlook/Excel.
  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills, plus proven experience of professional office procedures.
  • You will have advanced IT, data entry, and manipulation skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.
  • You must be a committed and successful team player with the ability to work calmly and methodically under pressure.
  • You will have well developed logical problem solving skills, and be a quick learner with an interest in developing knowledge in Timetabling and University related systems and processes.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail are essential qualities.
