Description

Role
The University of Leicester Marketing team is filming a series of new videos based on the experiences of current international students (both undergraduate and postgraduate students). Your role would be to feature in these videos as an international student, sharing your experiences. The final videos will be used to support the recruitment of new international students.

Working hours
We expect each student to do approx. 2-3 hours of work either in one go (on-campus) or a few shorter periods throughout the day (if filming video clips on your own phone).

  • On-campus filming = 26th-28th August (exact times/dates TBC)
  • Own mobile filming = can be flexible, but ideally around the same time of late August

Duties and responsibilities

The videos will either be filmed by the university video team on campus, where you will provide short answers based on questions provided to you in advance, or you will be asked to create short video clips on your phone, which you will then send to the marketing team (for example, a ‘day in the life’ style video).

Whichever video you feature in, a full brief and instructions will be provided. The aim of the videos is for future international students to see and hear from you as current students, and to hopefully feel encouraged to follow in your footsteps by studying at the University of Leicester.

Skills and experience

We require international students who will be enthusiastic when speaking on camera, as well as confident and familiar with creating video content on their own phones. You will not be required to do any editing, only filming. We are particularly keen to film with students from the following countries:

  • India
  • China
  • Nigeria
  • Ghana
  • Kenya
  • Vietnam and Thailand
  • Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia
  • UAE, Saudi Arabia
  • Pakistan
  • Bangladesh
  • Turkey
