THE ROLE 

On behalf of our Leicester Client, we are seeking to recruit a number of Events Staff to work at the DMU Graduations Ceremonies at the Curve, Leicester. We are looking to arrange and coordinate staff who can work the below dates and on either a Mezze Shift or an Operations Shift

Mezze Shift: 7am to 12pm or 7am to 2pm

Operations Shift: 8.30am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm

Dates of work: Tuesday 19th August, Wednesday 20th, Thursday 21st, Friday 22nd, Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th 

The shift times will be assigned and could change to suit client demands so we would appreciated good flexibility during the dates as demands could change at short notice. 

Rate of pay: £12.21

Holiday Pay: £1.47

Duties and responsibilities

Ops Shift: 

  • The role will be a mix of in the building and outside to direct Graduates around the building due to scaffolding currently in place. 

Mezzanine Shift:

  • Assist with guest management on the Mezzanine level.
  • Help direct guests to their destinations and provide information as needed.
  • Maintain clear communication with the team to coordinate efforts.
  • Offer guidance and support to anyone who may need assistance
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is essential. This includes skills in handling inquiries, resolving issues, and providing a positive experience for customers.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. 
  • You should be comfortable taking initiative when needed while also contributing to group efforts and supporting your colleagues.
  • A friendly and respectful attitude is crucial. You should be able to interact with guests and team members in a courteous manner, ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone.

Skills and experience

  • Good flexibility during the dates as demands could change at short notice.
