Description
Role
The company are looking for a skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to join their digital transformation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a customer portal that integrates with the existing ERP system to streamline access to customer-specific documents. The role involves working with a range of technologies across the stack, with a strong emphasis on system integration, automation, and cloud deployment.
The company deals in the distribution of corrosion resistant alloys and machined components to demanding applications on a worldwide basis.

This role will be supported by an academic member of staff with relevant expertise.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop a secure, scalable customer portal to access and retrieve documentation from various internal systems.
- Design and implement integration with ERP systems to automate document retrieval (certificates, test reports, invoices, etc.).
- Create responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern front-end frameworks.
- Design backend services and APIs to manage authentication, authorisation, and data flow.
- Architect and maintain scalable databases and ensure data integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure application security, GDPR compliance.
- Maintain technical documentation.
Skills and experience
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with front-end frameworks: React.js or similar
- Responsive design using frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS
- Proficiency in Node.js with frameworks like Express.js or NestJS
- Experience with Python (e.g., FastAPI, Django) or PHP (e.g., Laravel) is a plus
- RESTful and/or GraphQL API development
- Understanding of authentication/authorisation frameworks (e.g., OAuth2, JWT etc)
- Understanding of Relational and NoSQL Databases
Additional Desired Knowledge:
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with ERP concepts such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
- Deployment and CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint integration (document libraries, API access)
- Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals
- Familiarity with GDPR and data privacy standards in system design
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of professional full stack development experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
