Role
We are seeking two Mature Student Co-Creators to join a new student experience project This role involves co-creating workshops, focus group sessions and other student voice activities to gather valuable insights into mature students and their experience. The successful candidate(s) will guide the direction of the project through student feedback and work in tandem with staff, ultimately leading to positive changes to ensure that the unique needs of mature students are being met.

Duties and responsibilities

Are you passionate about helping others? As a Mature Student Co-Creator, we are looking for students who can help us find routes for better supporting mature students. 

As a Mature Student Co-Creator, you will be expected to design and facilitate workshops/focus groups sessions to Mature Students and gather student voice. You will work together with staff to co-create a student focused solution to enhance mature student’s experience. 

Additionally, you will take a proactive role in encouraging reflection and suggestions for improvement for how the team can approach this and future similar projects and tasks.

Skills and experience

Essential Skills

  • Being a current Warwick mature student from any field/discipline. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse groups. 
For the purpose of this role and as outlined by UCAS, the term ‘mature student’ is referring to anyone going to university or college after a period of time out of full-time education. Typically, this will mean students who are over 21 years of age at the beginning of their undergraduate studies, or over 25 years of age at the beginning of their postgraduate studies. For this role, it is essential that the individual has previously been, or is currently, a mature student as the duties will need them to pull from their experiences. 

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in developing or facilitating workshops, focus groups, or similar activities is beneficial but not required. 
  • Developed IT skills.
