Duties and responsibilities
Skills and experience
- Have a good standard of general education, normally to include English and Maths to GCSE level (or equivalent) Grade C and above
- A degree in a relevant area of activity or relevant professional experience
- Experience of providing administrative support in a high profile, demanding environment.
- A high level of problem-solving abilities
- Experience of working with confidential material.
- Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present oral and written information clearly, having regard to target audience.
- Experience of working within a management team to effectively prioritise their time and handling a wide range of activities and prioritising these effectively.
- Candidate should have demonstrable knowledge of office based practices and procedures in a confidential, high profile and dynamic environment.
- Microsoft Office Suite including management of diaries by Outlook
- Capacity to effectively manage administration services in a highly confidential, high profile office and to manage a diverse workload.
- Experience of processing various administrative paperwork in relation to HR processes.
- Experience of undertaking and managing financial processes.
- Ability to work constructively as part of a team and autonomously.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
- Excellent oral and written skills, an excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to work to very tight timeframes.
- The ability to effectively gather information and relevant background material to support managers in preparation for meetings and presentations.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Reliability, conscientiousness and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- The ability to use initiative and make effective decisions.
- Flexibility in relation to working outside ‘normal’ hours of business as required.
- Proven significant administration experience in a similar role.
