Role
- Please note this is a Full-Time role and is NOT suitable for current students
- Interviews to be held Friday 18th July
Duties and responsibilities
- Set up and maintain modules and groupings on timetabling software for student personalised timetables
- Work closely with Course Officers, Senior Course Officers, and academic colleagues to ensure personalised timetabling information is correct and updated as required
- Liaise with the Student Experience Team regarding student attendance records
- Ensure all activities related to student data and correspondence is treated with utmost confidentiality in a sensitive and fair manner
- To respond accurately to student and staff enquiries (via face-to-face contact, email, letter and telephone) within agreed timescales
Team support
- Where appropriate to operate the student records system (SITS), accessing student details as required in response to enquiries from student and / or School colleagues
- Where appropriate to Liaise with Course Officers to co-ordinate the creation and maintenance of student files and recording of data
- Support the Undergraduate team with administrative tasks
- To provide assistance with events such as registration and assessments
- To provide cover during the absence of other Administrators as required.
- To undertake general administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing and distribution of post as required
- Where appropriate to assist with the administration of various projects
General Administration
- To provide assistance with events such as Induction
- To provide cover during the absence of other Administrators as required.
- To undertake general administrative tasks such as photocopying and filing
- Where appropriate to assist with the administration of various projects
Skills and experience
Essential skills:
- Educated to A Level or equivalent
- Working knowledge, and understanding of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation and confidentiality-
- Experience of working in a busy customer focused office environment
- A high level of organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure towards deadlines and prioritise a varied workload
- Ability to work under guidance and instruction with excellent communication skills
- Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to work with spreadsheets and multiple online platforms
- Confident in the use of IT systems and databases
Desirable
- Experience using Timetabling software
