Description

Role

Our client is a semiconductor and thin film distribution business that’s growing fast, but right now their marketing isn’t keeping up. It’s a weak spot and they're not going to pretend otherwise. They need someone sharp, switched on and hungry to grab this role by the scruff and show them what good/great looks like.

What We Need

This isn’t about following a list of tasks, they want someone who knows what’s happening in the digital world and can come in, take a look around and say ‘Right - here’s what you should be doing’ they’re talking proper content strategy, not just the odd LinkedIn post. They need someone to take ownership and bring energy, ideas and execution.

Duties and responsibilities

What You’ll Be Up To

  • Take a fresh look at what we’re doing online [or not doing] - tell us what needs fixing.
  • Build a content calendar that makes sense for our audience, tying in with our activities across the three sites [UK/IRE/GmbH]
  • Create scroll stopping posts across LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter - wherever you think we should be?
  • Bring in your video, reels, graphics - whatever works.
  • Track what’s performing, what’s not - adjusting fast.
  • Work with all departments to turn real stories into content.
  • Keep us moving - we don’t want a passive presence.
  • Run creative campaigns to support our eCommerce platforms.
  • Handle the day-to-day admin of our eCommerce accounts – keeping everything up to date and running smoothly

Skills and experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Staffordshire Uni student or grad - marketing, media, comms or similar.
  • Someone with opinions - not afraid to say ‘this isn’t right/working’.
  • Knows and understands the tools and can take us to them.
  • Understands the difference between posting and performing.
  • Can write that killer caption and spot what will actually engage.
  • Has energy, initiative and can handle being given real responsibility.
  • Understands this isn’t a rebuild, but a refocus – has the ability to work within the confines of our Brand.
  • Bonus if you’ve built something of your own [a brand, account, campaign etc]

Location
Huntington, Cannock, Staffordshire

Benefits

What You’ll Get
  • The freedom to make a real impact.
  • Proper access - we don’t keep staff at arm’s length.
  • Flexible working - we’re outcome focused, not clock-watchers.
  • A clear shot at a longer term role if you’re a good fit.
  • A business that genuinely wants to get better and is asking for help.
  • Holiday pay
