Description

Role

We are seeking a tech-savvy student to assist in evaluating various software tools and equipment pertinent to the Copper House performance capture platform. The primary objective is to assess licensing fees, learning curves, and overall quality to inform decision-making processes.

This role is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Digital Media, Engineering, or related fields. Candidates should be enthusiastic about exploring new technologies and possess a methodical approach to evaluation.

£16.90 per hour.

£2.04 per hour holiday pay.

45 hours in total - work pattern to be discussed.

To work between the 5th &  29th of August 2025.

 

Duties and responsibilities

Software & Equipment Research: Identify and compile a list of potential software tools and equipment relevant to performance capture and virtual production.

Licensing & Cost Analysis: Evaluate licensing models, subscription fees, and any additional costs associated with each tool or equipment.

Learning Curve Assessment: Determine the time and resources required to learn and effectively utilize each software or equipment.

Quality & Usability Evaluation: Assess the quality, user-friendliness, and compatibility of the tools and equipment with existing systems.

Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings, including recommendations based on cost-effectiveness and usability.

Skills and experience

Essential:

  * Proficiency in using various software tools and a keen interest in technology.

  * Strong analytical and research skills.

  * Effective communication skills for reporting findings.

Desirable:

* Experience with performance capture or virtual production tools.

  * Familiarity with software evaluation methodologies.

  * Ability to assess technical documentation and user manuals.
