Role

Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS) opened to our first cohort of 108 pioneer students in September 2020. Our vision for KMMS is to create a new medical school for Kent and Medway that becomes a beacon for first-class medical education and research. The School will attract the most talented aspiring doctors from within the local community and beyond, offering training and development opportunities that will help to keep that talent in Kent and Medway. 

KMMS brings together the existing centres of excellence in health and medical education provided by the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University and local healthcare organisations, to offer a new model of person-centred medical education. 

Duties and responsibilities
Supporting KMMS Prizes Secretary:

  • Organising and updating external prizes on portal and in newsletter.
  • Updating excel documents with information received.
  • Developing marksheets (excel docs) for the few new prizes
  • Prize submission arrangement: anonymisation (redacting), timestamping, adding to the marksheets, uploading associated recordings, emailing staff markers, arranging staff feedback form (Microsoft form and excel use)
  • Support with collating prize winners, arranging certificates, ceremony resources. 
Other work:
  • Sending template emails
  • Redacting paperwork for anonymous decision making
  • Assisting with booking rooms and catering for events.
  • Filing emails & documents in folders.
  • Collating Microsoft form entries into readable excel documents.
  • Minuting.

Skills and experience

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience working in a team 
  • Good organisational skills

Additional information
This role will be for 2 days a week until the 31st August.
