Description

Role
The undergraduate physiotherapy internships will provide students with training in research skills and hands-on experience working on a research project. The interns will support the research team to run focus groups with parent of babies diagnosed with hip dysplasia as part of a randomised controlled trial. Research interns will also gain research skills in searching for evidence, the data collection process, and good clinical practice. 

Duties and responsibilities
Gain an understanding of the project, undertake a self-evaluation of training and support needs, complete the necessary research skills training, attend regular mentorship meetings, participate in recruitment of participants, join focus groups and code the focus group transcript in NVivo and prepare an abstract and poster to share the experience of the internship (for possible presentation at BSCOS ). 

Skills and experience
Applicants will be current first year students, moving into second year in 2025/2026. You should possess excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, as well as experience working as part of a team.
