Role
Permali – Advanced Composite & TPU Film Solutions
To contribute to the overall success of the HR agenda in delivering a proactive and customer focused HR service across our business. In a standalone role you will be responsible for onboarding new employees, facilitating open communication between employees and management, supporting with recruitment, and coordinating employee relations activities (such as absence review meetings, disciplinary hearings, taking minutes etc).
Duties and responsibilities
- Assisting with recruitment processes, including advertising roles, scheduling interviews, and preparing onboarding materials.
- Managing on- boarding process for employees and agency staff (liaising with other departments such as H&S and IT).
- Preparing HR documents (contracts, offer letters, etc.) via defined templates, managing employee benefits, and handling general HR queries.
- Managing employee records, updating HR databases, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Advise managers on the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures in accordance wiht current and proposed employment legislation and local arrangements, to ensure consistency, accuracy and best practice.
- Manage sickess absence in collaboration with managers, assisting staff back to work and supporting managers in reducing sickness absence across the organisation.
- Assisting with payroll processing and benefits administration.
Skills and experience
- Demonstratable experience operating in a HR role and good knowledge of the HR function and duties of a HR generalist.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and best practices.
- Demonstratable experience or strong theoretical knowledge of managing a variety of employee relations cases.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.

All applicants must as a minimum achieve baseline personnel security standard. Many roles also require higher levels of security vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting required for the role to allow for meaningful security vetting.
