Description

Role

Optimal Health is a leading provider of innovative wellness and recovery technologies. We specialise in advanced health equipment, including hyperbaric chambers, red light therapy, cryotherapy, and integrated wellness solutions, aimed at improving performance, recovery, and overall well-being for professional athletes, wellness clinics, and high-end consumers.

Duties and responsibilities

Develop an advanced sensing module for integration into our Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers. The system must accurately measure and monitor the following environmental conditions:

  • Internal chamber pressure
  • Oxygen (Oâ‚‚) concentration levels
  • Carbon dioxide (COâ‚‚) concentration levels

The system must communicate reliably using Power Over Ethernet (PoE) and MODBUS protocol, providing real-time data to an existing Android-based Human-Machine Interface (HMI) application and a secure cloud-based monitoring dashboard.

Skills and experience

  • Precise and continuous environmental monitoring within mild hyperbaric conditions (up to 1.6 ATA).
  • Seamless integration with existing Arduino Opta PLC control systems.
  • Real-time data transfer capability via PoE and MODBUS protocol.
  • Compatibility with an existing Android application and remote monitoring dashboard.

Resources Required:

  • Engineering student or intern skilled in sensor integration, embedded systems, and networking protocols (PoE/MODBUS).
  • Access to prototyping facilities for hardware development and testing.
  • Collaboration with Optimal Health’s software and electrical engineering teams.

Location
Hoylake Liverpool

Benefits

  • Regular weekly progress meetings and interim testing reviews.
  • Ongoing coordination with Optimal Health’s internal engineering team.
