Role
This role is within the Estates and Facilities Department - Estates and Facilities Management are responsible for developing the University's estate and improving the University experience for staff, students and visitors. Estates and Facilities Management is committed to the University's values of quality, diversity and sustainability in supporting the experience of its students and staff across the campus network in Kent and Medway including members of the local communities.

Duties and responsibilities
Meeting and treating all students, staff, visitors and contractors at the campus and on the telephone in a professional, positive, inclusive and courteous manner, in all oral and written communication including email.

Ensuring excellent presentation of reception areas.
Interpreting enquiries accordingly to be able to direct appropriately, in accordance with service standards.
Being the first point of contact for all Estates and Facilities related issues and general building management.
To confidently use other E&F systems, such as Planon, logging jobs on the system and following up with other departments to ensure works are completed.
Help lead the response to fire/panic alarms and take appropriate action, working with colleagues to ensure safe practices.
Managing the application and issuing of staff smartcards, visitor and student parking permits.
Receiving advanced information about conferences, events and interviews and assisting with these. 
Liaise and build relationships with relevant internal departments and external visitors.
Answering the main switchboard and diverting as appropriate.
